OBJECTIVES
AND SCOPE
The Conference was held on September 22-26, 2004, in Zvenigorod,
Russia.
Capillary
optics was conceived in
Russia and patented at the beginning of eighties. A series of meetings
on this topic was initiated in 1988-1990 in the former USSR, with the
participation of the foreign physicists. From 1993 special sessions on
the capillary optics were included in the program of SPIE International
Symposiums.
The second conference in the Moscow region provided an international
forum for presenting the most recent achievements in x-ray and neutron
capillary optics and discussion of newly discovered scientific,
technical and technological problems currently hindering progress in
this field.
During the conference, an exhibition was organized, including the most
recently developed instruments and devices from IRO.
The conference technical program included invited presentations,
selected oral presentations, and poster sessions.
